Sight Cymru are always looking to continually provide the highest levels of care and support for all individuals suffering from varying levels of sight loss as well as offering the best working environment for all our dedicated staff and volunteers. As such, we recently had the opportunity to put together a new uniform for our staff to wear and we’ve already seen the benefits during a number of recent events.
Produced by Workwear Express, one of the leading uniform suppliers in the UK, the new uniforms have been a hit with both staff and volunteers, helping to not only further promote the great support services and events we offer within the wider community, but it’s also now made it much easier for those suffering from sight loss to identify a member of staff from Sight Cymru. The new shirts and blouses, which contain the Sight Cymru logo proudly embroidered on them, provide a much more professional appearance while still offering the functionality and freedom of movement that our staff need to complete the range of tasks they carry out each day.
The uniforms signify the real strides we’ve made in the last 12 months in helping to providing those suffering from sight loss with a range of treatments and specialist services as well as putting together a number of successful fundraising events, the most recent of which allowed us to raise a fantastic sum of £550 through our family fun day at Pontypool United. With everything from space hopper racing to a good old fashioned egg and spoon race as well as a decorate a cake event, the day was one which was enjoyed by people of all ages.
Be sure to look out for the Sight Cyrmu staff in their brand new uniforms at one of our up and coming events or functions. If you’re looking to get in shape or are fairly sporty and want to help raise some funds to continue the great work everyone at Sight Cymru does each and every year, but sure to check out both our sponsored cycle race taking place in September as well as a gruelling, but fun half marathon in Cardiff during the month of October.
