Back in June we had our yearly AGM meeting, which brought together our Trustees, staff, volunteers and ‘Friends of Sight Cymru’ Members to discuss how things have gone for the charity during the past year.
As you can imagine it had been a difficult one for the organisation, with most of it spent in lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which meant that the way in which we operated had quickly adapted to allow us to continue to support our service users. The pandemic also meant a lack of fundraising, whilst having an increase in demand, especially with our wellbeing services. The trustees thanked the team for their resilience and efforts during this difficult time, we also got to hear from a number of service users who shared their stories and the impact Sight Cymru has had on their lives.
We also had a new chairperson appointed, many congratulations to our new Chair Person Rhoda Williams.
