At Sight Cymru, we’re committed to helping people with sight loss live safely, confidently, and independently — especially in their own homes. Our Supporting People service offers tailored, one-to-one support that focuses on what matters most to you.
We provide practical help, advice, and encouragement to overcome the daily challenges that sight loss can bring. Our goal is to help you maintain your independence, improve your wellbeing, and stay connected to your community.
What We Can Support You With

Managing money, budgeting, and accessing the right benefits

Staying safe at home — including home safety checks and repairs

Understanding and keeping to your tenancy or housing agreements

Attending appointments and accessing health, education, or employment services

Planning healthy meals and exploring shopping or delivery options

Using equipment, gadgets, or low vision aids effectively

Building confidence, developing life skills, and reducing isolation

Connecting with other services or local groups

Getting help with forms, applications, and concessions like Blue Badges or TV licences
Together, we’ll create a personalised support plan based on your needs and goals.
